Dear Parents,

Thank you so much to all who helped make TISCA run so smoothly! Of course thank you to Coach Navarro and Coach Wilkinson for their leadership and to all of the parents who drove swimmers, coolers, snacks and drinks. We were definitely the loudest and most spirited group of parents at the meet! A very special shout out to Nicole Banister for reserving our hotel rooms, organizing meals and working the COW BELL! Thank you to Keturah Christmas and Maureen Hickey for their help with meals as well! And a huge thank you to Anita Csizmadia for bringing ice cream and brownies to the swimmers on Friday night! Whoot whoot!! That delicious boost definitely helped fuel some great swims on Saturday!

Anderson Swim and Dive had some outstanding finishes at this year's highly anticipated mid-season TISCA meet in Mansfield, Texas, racing against several top teams in Texas. Trojan Boys Ben Jaggers, Brandon Farrens, Tyler Farrens and Gus Lott won gold in the 200 free relay and silver in the 200 medley relay, beating several of the state's top 6A teams. Ben Jaggers won the 100 backstroke, crushing his own school record on two consecutive days at the meet. Three Trojans swam sub-50 seconds in the 100 freestyle with Brandon Farrens leading the charge with a 48.68 finish, followed by Tyler Farrens (49.52) and Gus Lott (49.54).Trojan girls had several impressive swims in finals led by Abbey Amato with a 3rd place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Additional great finals finishes include Amato in the 100 free, Kiersten Taylor and Phyllis Shields in the 100 butterfly, Shields in the 50 free and Taylor in the 200 freestyle. The girls 200 freestyle relay of Amato, Shields, Taylor and Ellie Buhro finished an impressive 8th place. Other strong finishes in finals included fast swims by Carl Marti, Iggy Gonzalez, Korvin Chowla, Ty Felan, Reid Marcum, Charlotte Banister, Anna Csizmadia, Sydney Arcement, Grier Tobin, Alessandra Christmas, Mya Hsia and Aubrey Peterson.
