Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Anderson High School Swim and Dive Booster Club! On behalf of the AHS Swim and Dive Booster Board for the 2025-26 school year, congratulations and a big high five! To our new swim families, getting to this stage in your swimmer’s life is momentous and exciting. There is so much in store for your family as a member of the AHS Swim and Dive Team and Booster Club! For new and returning families, please read the information below about joining the booster club, required fees and dues, our New Anderson Trojan Team Store to order the required and optional gear, volunteering, sponsorships, fundraising, or upcoming events. If you are new to the team, be sure to join SportsYou for the latest information from the coaches with the link that Coach Navarro sent out last Friday. We are thrilled that Coach Heidi Navarro will be our head coach and Coach Molly Wilkinson will be our assistant coach! In the tradition of excellence established by generations of swim families before us, this is going to be another great year for the Anderson Trojan Swim and Dive Team!

VOLUNTEERING

The team and the coaches need all of our help to keep team operations running smoothly. From ordering and delivering meals to the swimmers at meets, to timing at meets, to serving on the scholarship committee as the freshman parent rep, or helping to plan the end of season banquet, there is a spot waiting for you! We ask that every parent choose one or two volunteer positions to serve in throughout the season. Check out the Volunteer Job Descriptions form that is attached. It can also be found on the website under “Resources”. You will be able to sign up for volunteer positions on our team website during registration which begins on July 1.

REGISTRATION

Because our fiscal year begins July 1, registration begins July 1 and runs through July 21. To be sure all swimmers have their gear in time for the fall photo shoot, orders must be completed by this deadline. ADDITIONAL DETAILS AND DATES TO PENCIL IN:

Practice will start around the second or third week of school following some housekeeping and get-to-know-you activities in the classroom. Practice will take place at the Great Hills CC pool in the fall and at Waterloo Swimming in January and February. Regarding meets, we will keep you informed and share information with you once it is provided to our coaches. Often the timing of meet information is out of our control, so we ask that everyone be flexible. Once the season is mapped out in the fall, we will have a better idea of how many meets there will be and where they will take place. Typically, the meets start in October, TISCA is a travel meet the week before Thanksgiving, the District Championship is at the end of January, Regionals is one week after Districts and State is two weeks after Regionals. But this is subject to change. In the meantime, we can look forward to the following events:

• Freshmen/Captains’ Lunch- Sunday, June 1, noon at Cabo Bob’s
• The Back-to-School Boat Party-Friday, August 15, 11 am-2 pm, Volente, TX
• Fall Kick-Off Booster Event for Coaches, Parents, and Swimmers - Monday, August 18, 6:30-8 pm, AHS Cafeteria
